Make it With Mushrooms Recipe Contest

Deadline: October 31, 2006

This recipe contest is looking for the best dish that uses these mushrooms: white button, Portabella, baby Portabella and/or browns. There are two categories in this recipe contest: Favorite Everyday Dish Using Sautéed Mushrooms, and Favorite Everyday Mushroom Dish (in which the mushrooms can be prepared in any way). The winner of this recipe contest will receive a $5,000 grand prize. Two first prize winners, one from each category, will receive $1,000.


Chefs.com Treasured Recipes Contest

Deadline: November 8, 2006

This recipe contest invites you to submit a recipe that somehow expresses your family, culture, heritage, or tradition, along with a story that expresses what that recipe means to you. The winner of this recipe contest will receive a $10,000 grand prize. Five finalists will receive a set of Hamilton Beach Electrics All-Metal Appliances.


Show Us Your Hungry Jack Family Contest

Deadline: November 13, 2006

This isn’t a recipe contest, but it does involve food.

Submit an essay and a photo describing what your family meals are like with Hungry Jack pancakes, syrups or potato side dishes at the table. The most creative and original entry will win the grand prize, a National Geographic Expedition’s Family Adventure for four people valued at $24,000. Ten first prize winners will receive up to four Schwinn bicycles each, one for each member of the family. Three hundred and twelve second place winners will receive a Cranium Family Fun Game.
