My Reasons Why He Should Win it Should Be a Talent Show and Not Based on Cuteness

David Cook may not have the pretty boy looks like David Archuleta, but to me he is a better singer, and performer by far. Yes, Archuleta can sing, but all of his performances sound very similar, not much originality, sings too close to the microphone, and needs to improve on his performance skills working with the audience instead of being so nervous all the time. At this point in the game Archuleta should be more focused, more originality, and starting to really come out of his shell to show the whole world who he really is and why he should win. I really don't think he is showing that too much right now unless his next performance really goes out with a bang.

I feel David Cook proved this when he performed 'Billy Jean'. Anyone that can change songs around like that proves they have talent, creativity, and uniqueness about them, which will grab more attention towards the fans. Yes, Cook might of slacked off once or twice, but one thing he never did was forget his lyrics like Archuleta, Brook, and even Jason Castro. American Idol fans made the mistake when Chris Daughtry wasn't chosen. So lets hope America gets it right and the fans just don't vote for pretty boy looks, go for the real talent instead.

1. David Cook always show versatility in almost all of his songs he performs (except for maybe one or two that were just simple)

2. NEVER forgot his lyrics at any given time like some of the other contestants have

3. His performance for "You will always be my baby" proved he should win based on talent not his cuteness

4. He totally kicks butt by giving all he's got for each and every performance. He makes his performances very re-memorable to many

5. His cocky attitude did a total 360. Now he shows a better side of him, which is more caring

6. He has picked the best songs that suited his voice. He never tried to out-sing a song

7. All of his songs sounded different. He never shouted or sang nasally like Archuleta

8. He is very comfortable in front of an audience. Never is too shy or nervous to perform. Always takes the biggest risks he can no matter what the outcome is.
