By this time you have probably noticed the slogan or logo for "mycokerewards". This campaign has been going on since January of 2007. In an effort to raise product awareness, raise customer satisfaction, and raise overall consumption of coke, the Coca-Cola company has been running the "mycokerewards" campaign. In a nut shell it works as follows, Coke has printed codes on the bottom of soda caps for all coke products as well as on the insides of 24 packs and 12 packs of coke products. The codes can be entered in online at www.mycokerewards.com and can be redeemed for prizes ranging from free Mp3 downloads to flat screen TVs.

Initially coke came under fire for the complexity of the codes and the high reward value of the prizes. Particularly some of the prizes were impossible to achieve due to the restriction of entering in a maximum of ten codes per day. Consumers argued that even if someone entered 10 high point value codes per day the contest would still end before reaching the required amount of points for the larger prizes. Coke reacted midway through 2007 by dropping some of the point values and making lower value prizes available. The rewards program was initially scheduled to end in 2008 but due to the slow startup of the website the rewards program has been extended through 2009 and possibly even further.
