Philly is much more than cheese steak. It is home to some of the finest restaurants in the country and the ones here, from Philadelphia and the surrounding area, are well worth the visit. If you have never experienced true Irish cooking, what are you waiting for? With Irish Pubs like these in the Philadelphia area, there is no excuse, so pick out one, go and have a good time and good food and make a new friend or two, or three.

The prices listed are from the dinner menu as that is usually the most expensive, so if you go for lunch, you might be paying less. They are entrees only unless it says otherwise. Appetizers, soups, deserts, drinks will be extra, unless it says otherwise, but you should be able to get a good idea of what a meal will cost by comparing the entree prices. The prices are in effect as this is written, but they are subject to change at any time. And the restaurants all have menus, so you will be able to get a sneak peak. Go on, have a good time, you deserve it.

Dark Horse Pub is a great laid back friendly pub, you can even play darts, with both English and Irish dishes. Do not think large restaurant menu, think of traditional pub food taken to the next level. If you are looking for a place for a private party, they have a choice of 4 rooms and can accommodate up to 100 for a sit down dinner and even more for a cocktail reception. They have weekly specials, so be sure to ask, or take a look at the site before you go. Take a look at these samples from their menu.
