Do you lack the ability to paint flowers, fruit, or any scenic design freehanded? Are you not able to properly blend dark red and white paint colors in order to get that perfect shade of red for that rose petal? Does the costly thought of having to redecorate put you in panic mode? Try adding a little piazza to your home decor with easy-to-use rub-on or transfer art.

Transfer art saves you money in several different ways.

1. The cost of transfer art is very inexpensive and usually fits the design, in that you will pay more for larger transfers and less for smaller ones.

2. You can perform the task yourself and not have to pay for a professional decorator or painter.

3. Instead of buying a new item to replace the old, outdated one, you can give it a new or more modern look.

Transfer art saves you time in several different ways.

1. It only takes minutes to apply transfer art.

2. You work at your own schedule, not a hired professionals.

Transfer art can be applied to many different objects, such as:

1. Tiles

2. Glass

3. Candles

4. Stationary

5. Books

6. Furniture

7. Enamelware

8. Crafts

9. Walls

10. Ceramics

I have used transfer art on tiles, candles, furniture, and glass. The transfer art on glass really resembles the look and feel of professional etching; while when applied to other items it gives the appearance of being hand painted art.

Transfer or rub-on art packages come with full instructions for application and some even include a rubbing tool, which usually resembles a wooden ice cream stick.

Applying Transfer art:

1. All transfer art should be applied to a clean, smooth surface.

2. There will be two sheets of paper with your transfer design that need to stay together. One is called a carrier sheet and this is what the design is printed on. The other is made of tissue and is on the back or sticky side. Cut out the design on both sheets.

3. Remove the tissue sheet from the cut piece and set it aside.

4. Gently position and place the design on the object, sticky side down.

5. Hold in place and gently smooth entire design with the ice cream stick. Be sure to smooth the edges.
