Almost every adult has a cell phone these days, whether it's used for work, leisure, or convenience. But do adolescents really need one? A lot of parents say no.

Before I begin, I'm not saying everyone should have a cell phone. Far from it. It would simply be too expensive to buy your nine year old a cell phone when he or she could just as easily use the house, and isn't responsible enough to keep track of the bill. However most teenagers these days, at least those ages 14-18, should be allowed to have a cell phone, so long as they use it responsibly. Here's why:
