Best French Bistro in Denver: Bistro Vendome

You can find it at Bistro Vendome at 1420 Larimer Drive and it is absolutely enjoyable - fittedly described as the best French bistro in Denver, Colorado it is a delightful experience. I was treated to a romantic dinner on the last anniversary of my relationship. It was incredible; the atmosphere was incredibly romantic - and that authentic kind of romance - not the fake, forced kind of romance.

The restaurant opens for dinner service at five on the weekdays and is also open for brunch on the weekends from ten to two. I have since been back since dinner to try the brunch - and it was elaborate, delicate and elegant. It was simply everything that a French brunch should be. The atmosphere is formal without being pretentious. The brunch is award winning - multiple years - for the best in Colorado.

It is a quiet atmosphere, though formal, without ever making the dining uncomfortable. It is not the best atmosphere to dine with small children, as the patrons may become easily annoyed with the antics of children since they are enjoying a quality, fine dining meal. It is best to make reservations to ensure that a table is ready. Bistro Vendome is one of the best special occasion restaurants that I have been to in a very long time.

For dinner I tried the Saumon Grille. It was accompanied with fresh vegetables and immense flavor. It was served with the most amazing crème fraiche with dill that I have ever tasted. The flavors were incredibly potent and complimented the fish very well. This may have been the most well prepared salmon I have tasted - kudos to the chef.

This is a perfect place for vegetarians - there is this wonderful assortment of dishes; namely, the puff pastry with vegetables with cheese and sorrel. I am not a vegetarian and since being back, this is my favorite dish. The cheese was a perfect compliment to the vegetables. If you are seeking new experiences try the assorted platter of cheese - which changes frequently. It is perfect to share with a glass of wine, a first date that would absolutely lead to a second.
