If you are planning to have a summer wedding, why not consider a beach wedding? As a wedding planner, I am finding that beach weddings are becoming more and more popular each year. Beach weddings are romantic. As far as beach themes go, you can focus around a specific theme such as nautical, tropical or sand and surf. Or you can just combine them all for a beautiful beach wedding. Depending on the specifics of the wedding, you can choose your decorations and favors around this. For example, if you wanted your beach wedding geared more towards a nautical theme, then your decorations would be more focused on boats and anchors. You could decorate your tables with mini sail boats surrounded by sand and tie chocolates in tulle with tied with mini anchors. If you were focusing on a tropical theme, you could use little palm trees as centerpieces and tie shells in tulle.

Of course your food selection will also depend on your theme. If you prefer a tropical theme, then a pig roast with all the trimmings including tropical drinks such as pina coladas is just what you need. An ocean theme would have ocean delights such as shrimp and clams. A nautical theme would feast on lobster and clam chowder.
