Schlitterbahn Summer Fun in New Braunfels, Texas

Schlitterbahn Waterpark, located in several locations around Texas, has been voted the best waterpark in America several years in a row. In this review, I will be showing you the top 5 reasons why Schlitterbahn will continue to hold its claim as the best.

#1 - The Master Blaster
One of the first uphill water coasters ever (along with the Dragon Blaster, also at Schlitterbahn), it holds its claim as one of the best water rides in America and my personal favorite. It starts out with a steep drop that will cause plenty of butterflies in your stomach, and then with the help of pulses of water thrusting you forward you are quickly shot back up hill. This process of drops, turns, and then being shot back up hill to continue the fun repeats several times throughout the ride and although the wait is often over an hour long, its well worth it.

#2 - The Sky Coaster
Although this will cost you extra money, its the perfect ride for thrill seekers. Imagine a swing set at a park, except on a massive scale. After a short lesson, you are strapped into a suit and pulled high into the air attached to up to two of your friends. Once you reach the top, one of you gets to pull the release, which causes you to free fall for a couple seconds and then swing out far out over the park.

#3 - The Boogie Bahn
This ride is one of the most popular for teenagers, seeing as it takes decent balance and some strength to be able to do this one successfully. It is a surfing or body boarding simulator that is more amusing each time you try since each time you learn a little more about the balance it takes to do some pretty interesting tricks. Personally, I still have trouble not getting wiped away by the water after a few seconds, but either way, its still a blast.

#4 - Downhill Racer
Lay on your stomach on a small mat, and race side by side to up to four of your friends as you plunge down a steep slide. The ride is quite exillerating for all ages and although the ride is fairly short, and the line is often long, its one of the fastest moving lines at the park, so don't be scared away if you see a long line!
