Recently, on the campaign trail at a stop in Beaverton, Oregon, Democratic Senator Barack Obama perhaps fatigued by the long campaign expanded America's girth with an unintentional expansionist stump bent in his speech "Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii." Thanks to the magic and immortality of the web, his gaffe "Obama Claims to Have Visited 57 States" is forever recorded and replayed on You Tube.

When Did Canada Get Annexed into the United States?
In response to the presidential candidates remarks, Porter Yates, a reader of powerline.blog contributed a hilarious map speculating Obama's additional territories included an annexation of Canada, assuming 6 additional provinces perhaps giving Obama the needed delegates to triumph over Hillary Clinton.

It's an attractive pin with the U.S. flag then I'm sure Betsy Ross would look on in horror as the suitablyflip.com team coyly added a blip of 7 states to the left of the flagpole. Suitablyflip has actually taken the joke one step further by offering the Obama 57 States pins for sale on cafepress.com for only $1.99.
