How to Play as an Assassin on Guild Wars

To play as an assassin, you need to know how to use one. They are not an easy class to master; this is because you need quick hands and thinking. If you do not have these skills, the assassin may be a bit of a challenge for you if you wish to use one. Because like said before, the assassin requires quick fingers; quick fingers can lead to massive amounts of damage, or death to the target.

To start off, all builds and professions need a build. The assassin however, has a very unique style of build. It requires a chain of attacks that have to be chained in a distinctive way. This includes a Lead Attack, an Off Hand Attack and a Dual Attack, although, there are a few exceptions.

A Lead Attack is pretty straight forward; it is an attack that starts off the battle. It can be a Lead Attack that can cause a condition or cause devastating damage. Take Unsuspecting Strike as an example, it immediately causes +24 damage if it hits, and will do an additional +39 damage if the opponent has more than 90% health. This is a recommended Lead Attack if you are scrimmaging in the Guild Hall or in a Player vs. Player match of any sort.

Then there is your Off Hand attack that normally comes after the Lead Attack. An Off Hand attack is pretty spectacular in some ways, it can cause a condition, be un-blockable, negate effects off the target or it could just cause even more damage. My favourite Off Hand attack is Wild Strike; this attack will cause extra damage (About 30+ for me) and remove the opponent's stance. Now this is pretty important, because since it is un-blockable, there is a 100% chance you can remove the opponents stance. A stance is a powerful spells if used correctly, as some can give them a might boost in armour or agility to dodge your attacks.
