Tag Team Duo: C.O.P. (Correctional Officer in Prison)

It was not much longer after the mini-riot, sometime in 1989, that I had my first experience of having to take an inmate down to the ground and to use the minimal force to do so. I say the minimal force, because if we were to use excessive force our jobs would be on the line. And believe me, if you didn't do it right there were always inmates watching that would turn you in a minute and sometimes they would turn you in even when you did do the right thing. And as I come to find out the administration would listen to an inmates story over a staff's a lot of times so it was better always to do the right thing and if the inmates did lie on you and you were an officer of integrity and also always did honest work then most of the time the administration would believe that you did the right thing at that instance.

I was working the Harrison "B" side again when this this particular incident took place. My security officer at the time was Officer Wilson (name changed) and was one of the best officers that I have ever worked with. She was very professional in all of her job duties and a very honest C.O. (correctional officer) Even though she was no more than 5' tall and didn't weigh more than 100 pounds, at the most, she is one of the most strongest persons I've seen for her size. At the time, and I am sure she still does to this day was working out at in the gym 3 or 4 times a week. Her body did not look like one of those over worked female body builders, but was very fine tuned and very attractive as well. Even fact, I used to tease her all of the time because she looked much like Vanessa Williams. She was African-American like Vanessa and felt personally that she was even cuter than Vanessa.
