Speculating on the end of the world seems to have become a regular pass time for some people, while others appear to have become absolutely obsessed with it. For decades people have been diligently searching for clues and signs associated with the end of the world, last days, and end times. However, recently, there has been an enormous interest in the end of the world.

The reason for this is mostly due to world events such as war, global warming, failing economy, and rapidly changing climate; along with the situation revolving around events associated with December 21, 2012. According to scientists, the sun and planets are lining up with the center of the milky way, which could cause catastrophic climate changes. This galactic alignment is supposed to be complete by December 21, 2012.

Many experts believe the world as we know it will end. New age groups believe it will be a spiritual awakening. Many Christians believe these events are associated with the great tribulation and Christ's return. Some people believe it will actually be the literal end of the world and that the earth will plunge into the next ice age.

Google the date, December 21, 2012 and you'll find page after page of information concerning these things. However, when it comes to the end of the world, Jesus Christ told us to watch for His return. He said we wouldn't know the hour, but that we would recognize the season. Searching for information is good (chance favors the prepared mind) but your relationship with Jesus is the MOST important thing of all.

There are many people ( alarmists) who get excited about things like this and they begin spreading panic. Then there are the capitalists who try to sell you information along with supplies. They are very good at convincing you that you MUST have these things. The situation developing in the universe is frightening and can easily overwhelm you.

Therefore, before you research things such as this, pray for guidance. Don't be too hasty about acting on what you read about 2012. Pray and study the bible. If you haven't been born again, you should ask Jesus to be your personal savior today.
