How to Treat Your Lady on Mother's Day

My Wife's Mother's Day

Mother's Day has come and gone. I've waited this long to tell this story, however it may help some men for next year. First, you must take care of your Mother on Mother's Day, however what about your wife? My wife is the Mother of my children and on this day it is my obligation to take
care of her. Now, before I begin telling you more remember that I am not taking a sanctimonious position on this issue. I try to do what I can, however it has gotten plenty of men around where I live upset. I try to go above and beyond the call of duty and it makes a lot of people upset. I treat my wife like I want to be treated, especially with Father's Day coming up.

To start with I made sure my children got gifts for their Mother. Our children are ages 13, 9, and 8. Normally I would never, ever buy my wife any cooking or cleaning presents for Mother's Day, our anniversary, her birthday, or Christmas. It should be an unmentioned promise from husbands to wives. No pots, pans, toilet brushes, vacuums, colanders, toasters, or anything even like it. This year, however, my wife requested a hand mixer. Her hand mixer had gave up the ghost a while back and she desperately wanted a new one. So, gift number one was a hand mixer. She also enjoys reading books; Dean Koontz, V. C. Andrews, Bentley Little, etc., so the next gifts were books. All of these gifts would make her happy, but this is not where I stopped. When it comes to my wife, the one person I should be able to count on for life, it was not enough.

The children and I then decided to make up a Menu for her. The menu would give her a choice of what meals would be served on Mother's Day. The menu we came up with follows:
