Anti-aging and beauty products are in abundance online and in local retail stores. For many women, with dermatological skin disorders, finding the right balance in beauty products is often quite difficult. For women suffering from rosacea, a bacterial disorder of the skin, beautifying the skin can become increasingly difficult. Understanding the cause and origin of rosacea, the methods for diagnosing rosacea and the treatment options, will ensure women suffering from this facial skin disorder are well on their way to more beautiful and glowing skin.
With an unknown origin, rosacea most often occurs in individuals with a pre-existing or genetic disposition to the disorder. Without regard to gender, rosacea most often presents in women beginning at age 30. Attributed to the enlargement and irritation of small blood vessels in the underlying skin of the face, rosacea is believed to be a bacterial infection creating an appearance of small pustules in and around the facial area. For many female sufferers of rosacea the condition is chronic and requires regular maintanence.
For women who suffer from rosacea, the common factor to progression of the disease is in lack of diagnosis and treatment. Becausae rosacea tends to disappear, as inflammation decreases, many women assume the rosacea is simply a case of adult acne. Too often, this delay in diagnosis may attribute to progression of the rosacea in and around the face. Diagnosing rosacea is done through visual examination by a dermatologist with no other testing required. Because the condition is believed to be attributed to a bacterial infection, rosacea is commonly diagnosed by a dermatologist's visual inspection of the facial skin.
