It is being reported that OJ Simpson has been paid 3.5 million dollars for detailing the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The book is claimed to be titled “If I Did It” and includes a half hearted statement that the details of the stabbings are hypothetical.

The breaking source of this story is “The National Enquirer” leaving most to wonder if this is once again just some kind of sensational hype. If this story is accurate then the concept of OJ detailing the brutal murder of two people whom he claims he did not kill is as gruesome as a secret source claims the account of the actual act that OJ Simpson has created in this book.
As the question remains “is there really a book or not?”

The bigger question for many is bound to be why would OJ Simpson whom has vowed many times that there would be no way he would pay off his civil suit to the families of former wife Nicole or Ronald Goldman make a deal in which the majority of his earning would be taken to help pay off these suits? Maybe this is simply his way of thumbing his nose at the Brown and Goldman families whom OJ Simpson has clearly shown his distain for many times over the years. If it is a way of thumbing his nose; it is truly as brutal to those families as the murders of their loved ones were.

In 1998 Celia Farber of “Esquire” wrote and article after following Simpson for months. While he never granted her an official interview he did speak with her and when all was said and done she was left wondering if he even knew for sure anymore if he had committed the crime or not. In one statement made to Farber Simpson states "Let's say I committed this crime ... Even if I did do this, it would have been because I loved her very much, right?"

Was that the confession of a guilty man or was it an innocent man tired of dealing with the press and the questions about his former wife’s murder in which he had been acquitted? Was that his way of explaining his actions? This is a rather odd statement for an innocent man. Only OJ Simpson knows the truth and America still wonders exactly what that might be.

Takeaways
  • Did OJ really write the book?
  • Did he recreate the murder scene
  • Why would an innocent man do this?
Did You Know?
OJ Simpson still owes a large protion of the 33.5 million civil judgement to the Goldman and Brown families.

As a life coach, it is very sad to see the Goldmans still caught up in their past pain. It's like being the relative of a murder victim (unfathomable) has become their identity and they stopped moving forward in life the day their son and brother died. All we have is the present moment. Imagine if that energy was channeled not in anger, revenge and resistance to what is, but in prevention and victim recovery programs. What a difference they could make! My heart goes out to them, and I hope they find a way to move out of the past and find joy again. Live life to the fullest - all we ever have is the present moment.

I wouldn't have bought the book if OJ was profiting in any way, but now I will. I can't get enough of true crime stories in general, and can't wait to read the sick musings of this murdering psychopath OJ.

Now that Fred Goldman has control of the book, I too, hope it doesn't sell. Thats what he wanted when he didn't have control of 90% of the profits from it. I wonder just how "special-of-a-black-man" do you think O.J. is? Why do any of you think a black man could kill two white people, flee to the south (the south, walk freely, and not be gunned down? Then......., one day O.J. will be found not to be the murderer(which I'm sure the main players already know) , while some drug dealer, after he dies (the drug dealer), will be found to be the one who committed the murders, but too late for O.J. because his career, indeed his life, shall have been ruined. Someone shall have gotten rich off the sweat from someone else's brow and the dope fiens shall have escaped self-righteous, gossiping, get-rich-quick artists, such as.....well,.. whoever is getting the money. O.J.'s crucifiction is lasting longer than Jesus'. I'm sick of that and sick of seeing Mr. Goldman with that fake --- crying all

Censorship is the issue for writers. Recalling the book created a monumental demand for it as allegedly reported on eBay: whether an offer of six plus thousand dollars or an offer of a million dollars for one circulating copy is irrelevant, considering the inflated price. The Goldman's need to let this go. They bring pain upon themselves with all these lawsuits against. Didn't Mr. Goldman say it wasn't about the money? Then why is he suing still (tried to sue and get OJ's image rights in September but lost)? Move on with your life like the thousands of other victims' families.

People need to make it clear to Judith Regan, who green lighted this filth, that she is making a career choice in which people will remember as the money hungry witch who put profit over what is right. I fully support this boycot, and encourage folks to not give a penny to HarpperCollins. This is the lowest of the low.

Regan and Simpson have just earned their right to burn in hell. What is she thinking? BOYCOTT! Stand up, be heard, DO not let stores in your area get away with selling this book!! This is incredibly disgusting!

Let's just say hypothetically that OJ is innocent. Even though we all know he is not-judgement day will deal with the real truth-that case is over. Any human being that would would write a book about HOW HE WOULD HAVE DONE IT is discusting. Making a mockery of the murders of his childrens mother. SICK AND EVIL HE IS. BOYCOTT ALL INVOLVED AND PRAY FOR THEIR SOULS-THEY ARE IN GRAVE DANGER!!!

I will buy the book. OJ is an innocent man. There are many racist whites who would LOVE to return back to the days of the clan where a black man is lynched on circumstantial evidence.

Before everyone jumps the gun accusing this man of attempting to bask in a murder (a murder he was acquited of, might I add), you should possibly consider some other possible reasons he could have for authoring the book. O.J. has made several attempts to enhance his image after the trial. This could be another of those attempts; to prove once and for all his innocences e.g. "If I did it, then why was this found like this and that like that.. ect." He has never appeared as an evil man or a man who would glorify something as horrific as double murder. Even if he is in fact guilty of the crimes I don't feel he would ever give even an allusion to his guilt.

My heart goes out to the families of the murdered. Go on, Get over it! The court and jury sail "not guilty" and THAT is the bottom line. The other kangaroo court was out of line and stepped way out of bounds. Read, read, READ.

Boycott any companies that are stupid enough to advertise on the FOX show.

This book finally proves without doubt that OJ really killed his wife and the mother of his children and her friend. There`s no way he`d "write" a book like this if he wasn`t a sick killer. But the thing that really makes my stomach turn is that someone is actually publicing this kind of twisted crap ! My heart goes out to the Browns and the Goldmans.
