Chocolate Chip Pop Tarts from Kellogg's is yet another not so satisfactory product to be rolled or rather baked from their popular kitchen. Of late I have a strange notion that the Kellogg's has lost something somewhere during the long years of service or is it that they are overconfident. Till some years back I would have blindly trusted any product from Kellogg's and now that is not the case and this has been once again reinforced by their crappy Chocolate Chip Pop Tarts.

Chocolate as well as Pop Tarts are something that I would never like to part and if some one comes and ask me for this Kellogg's stuff, I would happily give away the whole bunch that I got by mistake. No, I did not place a wrong order or was supplied faulty pop tarts; instead I did a mistake of not seeing the customer feed back or asking some one before buying it in bulk. I never knew Kellogg's can screw up a simple thing like Chocolate Chip Pop Tarts to this extent.

Only good thing that I can think of right now about them is their soft chocolate filling. Usually the pop tarts bought from the market have a dry cardboard like filling and that turns me off. For a change, the Kellogg's got the consistency of the chocolate filling right. The texture is smooth, soft and it oozes out with each bite. But it does not taste like a genuine chocolate filling. Is it because they have added less than 2% semi sweet chocolate chips, I don't think so. Even in that case, the milk chocolate added to it should have done something. In short chocolate has a weird chemical taste and it leaves not so pleasant bitter aftertaste.

First time out of excitement, I had it straight out of the packet and I spit it out immediately. I thought it was because I did not warm it and even after putting it in oven, the Kellogg's Chocolate Chip Pop Tarts was pathetic. Do not ever have it without warming and spoil the taste buds. This is too crunchy and the crispness tells me that it is not genuine and everything is so artificial like. It is as if the tarts were baked for extra long time and the covering kind of crumbles and breaks in hand. Even the frosting is not appealing.
