Nashville, Tennessee is located on the Cumberland River in Davidson County in the north-central part of the state. It has the largest metropolitan area in the state of Tennessee, spanning thirteen counties. Nashville has a never-ending supply of world class entertainment sure to please any individual. It is known as “Music City USA” for the city's musical heritage and the Nashville Sound. Nashville is also called “Athens of the South” for the city's dedication to fine arts and higher education.
