Nov. 1st the beautiful Christmas Boat Parade, celebrating 15 years in Grand Prairie, just 30 minutes from Fort Worth, will exude "ooohs and "ahhhs." The nighttime event takes place at 5700 Lakeridge Parkway with a backdrop of the popular Joe Pool Lake, which will light up your holiday trip. For more information, call 817-640-4200.
Nov. 10-11 the talents of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes come to Grand Prairie in a Christmas spectacular. For more than 75 years the Rockettes have thrilled audiences with their high kicks and energetic dance moves. Kicking reindeer with a special message for Santa and a tale of toy wooden soldiers is part of the fun while minor adjustments have been made to the production to mimic the 21st Century holidays. Taking the show on the road requires efforts of close to 100 cast and crew according to one reviewer. The event is held at 1001 Nextstage Drive. To get more information about the Nokia Theatre show, call 972-854-5111.
