With a very close race tonight it is hard to say who will stay and who will go. With the two Davids doing well, but could have done better, it's not hard to see that Syesha should be a shoe-in tonight for the finals. With only one song of their choosing, the contest was left up more to the judges who chose a song and the producers of American Idol who also picked a song for each contestant.

David Archuleta was the first one up and Paula Abdul chose a great Billy Joel Song, "And So It Goes." Archuleta's voice was very smooth from the beginning and never went off tone once. However, for what he is capable of, it definitely could have been better. He did connect well with this song. The second song was of his choosing and much better suited in terms of challenging him and showing what he can do. "With You" by Chris Brown showed a whole new side of Archuleta no one has ever seen before. It was much better than the first performance and, overall, his best performance of the night. You had to just love the attitude and it was hard to miss the energy he let off while performing this number. It was awesome to see him take a risk and try something new. The producer's choice really didn't make anything new of what we've already seen from Archuleta. "Longer" by Dan Folgerberg really was a great song choice and touching, but it left little to the imagination. We've already seen David do so many ballads - its getting a little old. Tough to say, it is, but Archuleta just may be getting the boot tonight.
