Associated Content is an excellent place to write for because you can get money upfront or you can simply submit for display only. With display only, you can obtain money for your articles with page views. Page views are very important with any website and even more so with Associated Content. While you might blog and get page views, it is a chance you take that someone will click your ads and make you money. With Associated Content, you know up front that if you obtain a certain number of page views, you are going to make some money. Many people do write for the joy of writing and sharing ideas. But let's face it. Writing to make some money also helps. After all we have to pay for Internet connection, online library subscriptions and more. Here are some handy tips to help you increase your Associated Content page views.

Comment on Other Content Producer's Articles

You can learn a great deal about all types of topics by reading the articles on Associated Content. I just love going around and reading articles and finding out what people want to share. There is a great deal of knowledge on Associated Content. I really like reading poems that have been born and shared here as well. When you go around and read articles, take a minute to leave a comment. This lets the other content producers know that you stopped by. If you liked a poem, recipe or article and read it more than once, go ahead and let them know that you had to come back again to that particular page.

In many ways, Associated Content is no different than Yuwie, Sharedreviews, MySpace, Facebook and other sites. If you connect and meet people, you are going to naturally increase your page views. On the other hand if you always put a smiley or write the exact same comment, chances are you are going to irritate people. Actually read the page and leave a comment.

One of the things that I meant for searches is to do the AC popular searches on the left side of the AC page. That way when people already on AC type in the tags or keywords they are more likely to find you. :-) Wasn't sure if that was very clear or not. Thank you all for the great comments. I think that sometimes all to say is good job, good review, thanks for posting.. nothing wrong with that.. but sometimes a little more is nice. LOL :-)

Note to new people: yes, of course articles about TV and video games get lots of page views on AC. Just not from me.

Really great tips. I am trying to get more of more articles searchable by the search engines but it doesn't come easy as I feel like I am repeating words and phrases too much!

Girl, this was so helpful and so smart - look at the response already - way to go - I'm coming back to read it again for another page view then printing for my AC binder - if only this came in some sort of pkg when you join - maybe it does - but I could never find it - I'm learning and just love to write - but you are correct it s not like it hurts to get paid too ! Thank yooooooooooooooou :-) Cheers, Kimberly

Great tips...except that, on the computer I'm using today, it often takes more than thirty minutes to read even one favorite CP's articles. Case in point: today, presumably due to AC's cookies and fancy graphics, it's taken me 36 minutes of multitasking and frustration to read all the pages of this article and get to the comment section. My selection of other people's articles isn't random, though; I delete e-mail notification of articles about TV, video games, products I'm unlikely to buy, etc., and read the ones that have some relevance to my life! (Usually when I make a comment like "good job" it really does mean that that's all I can think of to add. It takes too long for me to get to this part of an AC page for me to bother typing in "good job" if I've not read and liked the article!)

Excellent ideas . . . . particularly about choice of subject and timeliness.
