We have had Sprint as our cell phone company for three years now. While we have been very pleased with the actual cell phone coverage and features we are not so happy with their customer service. While it all started out simple enough we went in the Sprint store and choose our phones then we had to decide which plan to go with .We picked the family fair and flexible plan. It gave us around 600 anytime minutes to use a month and free nights and weekends that started after nine at night.

We choose to go with the free nights and weekends that start at 7 pm since I worked during that time and it was more convenient .So we get our plan and were ready to go. Our monthly Sprint bill was around $70.00 a month. This included the extra five-dollar charge for starting the night minutes earlier. We also took the warranty program for six dollars a month on the phone since my husband works construction and its not unusual for the phone to fall off a roof or high ladder. We didn’t have any problems for the first few months we had the sprint service. We had great cell phone coverage and seemed to have service wherever we went. Then one day my husband broke the antenna off the phone so we took it in to be repaired. After examining the phone the people at the Sprint store said it could be fixed, that it was no problem.

Sprint really is improving their customer service. I have noticed a huge differance when I call in now than this time last year. Everyone should give them a chnace. Most cell companies have the same guidlines that they have to go by and most do not make the extra effort to ensure you are satisfied with the result of your call, for example I called not to long ago because I was going over my minutes and the girl I had on the line asked me if she resolved every issue that I currently have and on top of that the next day I got a survey call from sprint asking if my issue was resolved during the call I had previously and I really appreciate the extra effort. I feel they are trying to improve their customer service and am very pleased with the new Samsung Insinct I just bought.

Just got off line from a chat with Sprint Customer Service. My service began in august 2006 with a 2 year contract which means it would end in august 2008 -right!!! This customer service person is telling my contract ends in 2009! I - I have not upgraded or made any changes and they somehow added 9 months onto my contract. I am getting the feeling this customer service agent was actually trained to be underhanded and deceitful in order to gain profits. Is there anyone at the top of this company that believes in ethical business practices? This Sprint company is very scarey folks. I am stuck with them for now, but I will get the hell out as soon as I can. Good Equipment and good coverage lures you in --- then they will take you for everything they can, up to and including using unethical business practices. I would suggest you stay away!

A production company is doing a documentary on cell phone companies: their levels of customer service, billing accuracy, coverage quality, etc. If you have stories that you want to share, please, feel free to email to: mycellphonestory@gmail.com If you have stories about been overcharged, you must have proof of it. If you have stories about your experience with customer service, send a description of the story. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

SPRINT RECENTLY RELEASED 3000 CUSTOMERS. EVERY NIGHT I GO OUT ON MY FRONT PORCH, AND WISH UPON A STAR, THAT SPRINT TO WOULD RELEASE ME FROM MY CONTRACT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO RAISE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE, AND YOU'RE INTO PULLING OUT YOUR HAIR, THEN SPRINT IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU. TO MANY THINGS TO LIST. SPRINT HAS PUNISHED ME, LIKE A GIRL SCOUT WHO DID'NT MEET HER GOAL OF SELLING ENOUGH GIRL SCOUT COOKIES. I'M SCARED TO VOICE ALL OF MY COMPLAINTS ON MY COMPUTER, FOR FEAR OF CRASHING IT! AND THANK YOU FOR USING SPRINT. ( FUNKING ASSHOLES! )

nextel, sucks. there service is real sketchy and there customer service reps are the absolute lazest people in the world. why hasn't congress gotten involved with this whole "make a small cahnge and your comitted for another 2-years nonsense". is there any other business that do this, like " cable tv, change the channel your locked in for 2-years" or maybe make love in a new postition, can't get divorced for atleast 2-years". seriously, how can they get away with this crime?

I have sprint and discovered they are charging $200 per line to cancel their service so like many I'm stuck with them but will cancel as soon as my contract ends and go to a go phone because I'm also tired of all the extra charges for minutes that I haven't used. Nope I would not recommend their service to someone I did not like, and is how it is.

HUGE MISTAKE Does anyone know how to contact someone in charge? And how about what BBB or legal regulatory company to report to? I had first a Quest phone then Nextel that worked wonderfuly until Sprint got hold of them. I Quest in Oregon then in north Seattle. Whenthey went bad, all of the Quest customers in the Greenlake area were looking for a new phone. I moved to downtown, moderate reception in the place I lived. My cell phone was getting a black streak and then I actually dropped it and it got run over, so I took it in to the sprint tech shop. Cost the same for new phone or for repair. I liked Nextel free incoming plan, so opt for new phone and expect that If I got a Sprint phone it might be stronger and get better reception. Also move to a different nearby building. Reception ok at first but about 4 months later, cannot use the phone except 3 feet from my window in my one room apt. Droppped calls frequent especially on incoming calls. Lots of chatter and noise.

Sprint and their customer service department are awful. Long story short: Sprint put a former employee's personal phone plan onto our corporate account and we've been waiting over 2 months for billing resolution. We spoke with what we thought was a competent supervisor who said she'd call me back by week's end to figure out the final adjustments. That call never came, so she now gets the name of "stupidvisor" (stupid supervisor). If it weren't for the former employee's personal credit being tied up in this mess, I'd just have our company drop Sprint and they can eat their own loss.

Sprint sucks, I've seen bumper decals like this and I want one too. As others have indicated, they have to leave the house to make or receive calls. I complained to the provider and sure enough they replace the phone with a "refurbished" one that came with the same lack of coverage. I am in cell phone hell. Maybe I didn't go to Mass often enough, but I sure do pay my bill on time every month and have to hassle with them about overcharging every month. Who has the best service and coverage area. I am on a boat alot and need that coverage.

I DID have Nextel. Never had a problem with this company, until they merge with sprint. My phone service was beyond horrible when these two companies came together. My phone would drop calls daily. So one day after talking with a few co-workers I decided to switch to Sprint. Remind you that Nextel and Sprint bills do look the same however act as two different companies when providing service. This required a whole new set up with Sprint. I had to have a new contract,(two years), buy new phones,... everthing. My service went to horrible to hell. When I called and complained about the drop calls the only response I recieved was will look into the problem and we should be putting tower out that way. Now when I had Nextel it work in that same area that sprint would drop my calls at. I use to work in a factory and could use my phone EVERYWHERE, but sprint costumer service told me it was my work enivorment. That the heavy metal was preventing the calls to go thru. I sooooo wish th

Don't ever purchase service with Sprint . They are the worst of all the cell phone companies. They constantly overbill, have terrible customer service, and have even been accussed of stealing from customers. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!! Sprint is a dangerous purchase.
