It seems that everything has gone haywire in the United States in terms of problematic circumstances. The economy is unstable, the American soldiers are still in Iraq, and gas prices are skyrocketed. Now this country is facing another crisis: a lack of healthcare insurance. Many American people need medications but unfortunately are unable to pay for because of high health insurance costs. What do many of them do? Seek for cheaper prescriptions, which can mean going to foreign countries and/or the Internet.
The question is what are these Internet pharmacies offering? Well, the answer is a pretty obvious one: cheaper and more convenient prescription. This is one of the main perspectives of looking at it. Then there are those individuals who want to order medications that his/her physician refused to prescribe. I have seen some of these Internet pharmacy websites and many of them require a physician's approval of that prescription. On the other hand, there are those that a pre-written prescription is not a requirement. This can lead to many dangerous or even deadly consequences with patients.
The majority of these individuals that are seeking their prescribed medication over the Internet are unaware of its potential dangers. From time to time, Internet pharmacies that are issuing prescribed medications without the consent of a physician or a written prescription can be very fraudulent.
I know that it is getting off the subject just a little bit, but these are one of the reasons for the overseas medication travel. Since prescribed medications can become very expensive in the United States, it is not unusual for these people to think outside of the box to receive their medications. Many of them travel to locations such as South Africa, India, and Thailand just to get a bargain. In these places, these medications are so dirt cheap that individuals are willing to risk his/her life. Speaking of costs, the cost can range anywhere up to eighty percent cheaper compared to the United States.
