How Did Ms. Whitney Thompson Win America's Next Top Model?

Some of You Are Probably Saying, 'Huh!?'

First of all Whitney Thompson is a beautiful, voluptuous gal but come on really, do you think she was model material. I have nothing against women with meat on there bones, (lord knows I do) because some women (models, actresses, etc) are just a little too skinny. The problem that I have

with Whitney is her flakiness, she was a typical pretty face, nothing new, nothing fresh about her, so I was quite disappointed to see her win the whole thing. Personally I felt she did not produce the kind of unique pictures that some of the other girls did. The only thing positive that I could come up with was that it was about time they had a bootilicious girl make it all the way, and she is very pretty, but in know way should she have beat out two of the other girls.

On the flip side, she was the only one that you could understand completely with no accent, but that really does not matter due to the fact that most models are from so many other countries. The modeling industry is so versatile and they try to look for the unique ones in countries around the world. That is one reason I was rooting for Fatima or Anya to win. They look more like the typical model and were traditionally what a model represents. I do not know what Tyra is thinking sometimes when making her judgments, often times she repeats herself while dissecting the other girls.

Fatima had the face, body, desire, she was unique, she had the drive, her runway was better toward the end and she just had the whole package. Despite her past and everything that happened to her in her country she was able to overcome and work her way to the top. Then you have Anya who was also not your typical young lady but had her own look, model technique (without even trying) she had worth and she was a real and honest contestant. She had a bit more of an accent than even Fatima, but she still was able to shine in her own way. She did very well and I think she would have made an awesome America's Next Top Model.

I was kind of surprised with the winner here...while I though Whitney was attractive, in a sort of girl next door way..Fatima had the more sculptured face and really the overall "look" that I would say was model material.. ..but I'm sure that many women can relate to Whitney more..just your regular girl next door..I was really shocked at the outcome of this show....but I am not an expert in this field...that is for sure !!!....:)

I was a Whitney fan, but good article nonetheless! Thanks for the support in the midst of my George Michael train wreck.

I was so happy she won. I was rooting for either her or Anya. Fatima definitely shouldn't have won.

I didn't watch the show but I am glad a "larger" woman won just for the sake of showing teens they don't have to be twig thin to be beautiful.

I'M AN EAST AFRICAN MYSELF - BUT I FELT THE ONLY THING THAT GOT FATIMA THAT FAR WAS HER FACE, BUT SHE DIDNT LISTEN. ANYA WAS YOUR TYPICAL HIGH FASHION MODEL - NOTHING NEW IN THAT RESPECT TO THE MODELLING WORLD. WHITNEY HAS THE TRADITIONAL [PRETTY FACE, HOWEVER HER BODY IS SO NORMMMAAAAAAALLL IT WILL CAUSE A WHIRLWIND IN THE FASHION WORLD - WHO NEED TO OPEN UP TO REAL WOMEN. SO THERE YOU GO. CONGRATULATIONS WHITNEY. PS: I WAS SURPRISED BECAUSE I THOUGHT ANYA HAD IT IN THE BAG, BUT WHEN I THOUGHT ABOUT THE ABOVE POINTS, ALAS! IT ALL CAME TOGETHER!

I'M GLAD SHE WON.
