Chattanooga Tennessee is well known for the beautiful mountain attractions like Rock City, Ruby Falls, and Look Out Mountain. It is one of the biggest tourist areas in Tennessee. It is a spectacular place all year round. At Christmas, this town really comes alive with wondrous light displays and where you can really enjoy a mountain Christmas. Here are my top choices for ways to spend the holidays in Chattanooga Tennessee.

If you like the scenic approach to Christmas, then Chattanooga has a wonderful way for you and your family to spend the holiday. Come aboard the famous Chattanooga River Boat named the Southern Belle. The Southern Belle is the Pride of the Southland's. For the first event, the Christmas Carol Dinner, which runs from November 24 through December 23, is a wonderful sightseeing cruise. The Deckhands will be singing hoping to get everyone to sing along with the old time Christmas Carols we all know and love. The cruise runs along the beautiful Tennessee River. The dinner includes Prime rib and a Shrimp Creole. There is also live entertainment for those who are in the mood to dance or if you just want to sit and enjoy the music. Of course, Santa will be stopping by to help start the dancing. For the children there is a cruise called the Santa’s Ho Ho Ho cruise. This event is on December 9. This cruise will last for 1 ½ hours. There will be plenty of live entertainment for the children including an amazing magic show, coloring sheets with crayons, candy canes on the tables, and Balloons. Holiday music will be playing to add to the holiday spirit, and of course, Santa will be there to hand out goody bags and take pictures with the children as well as specials guests, the Grinch and Rudolph the Reindeer. Your children will never forget this experience.
