American Idol: David Archuleta vs. David Cook

The last few weeks of American Idol have been very intense. It has left many viewers on the edge of their seats as they wait impatiently to see which of their favorite contestants will be voted off of American Idol for good.

We are finally down to the last two on American Idol and now it is David vs. David but who will win?  

Looking back at the last few weeks, I have been impressed by some and hopeful for others. There have been times when I have wanted certain ones to win and have wondered why others have stayed.

Taking a look at the two Davids that are left on American Idol, I could only hope that this last step to the top is voted on performance only and not just the looks of the American Idol contestants.

Let's take a look at David Archuleta first and then we will move on to David Cook. After seeing both of these talented singers, I will then compare the two to see who should win and who will probably win.

David Archuleta's singing talent

Archuleta can sing and sing he does. The boy has a great voice but he often sings songs that are similar to all the other ones that he sings. His talent is based off of soft and low key songs. If you are looking for a more up to beat song, you shouldn't bet on it. I have only seen him sing a couple of songs that weren't slow.

David Archuleta's stage presence

The younger generation goes wild when Archuleta takes the stage. His performances have been great but not as great as what I had hoped for. Archuleta comes off as a clumsy person as he has nearly made a cluts out of himself on numerous occasions. Most of the females would probably not recognize his clumsiness since they are too focused on his looks.

David Archuleta's physical appeal

The boy has appeal and need I say more? He has the looks for someone who would make a great model but we are talking about singing here. I have seen how he looks into the audience and focuses his eyes on one girl at a time to make her scream.

David Archuleta's record-selling potential

I do believe that Archuleta has record-selling potential even if he does not win American Idol. I would defiantly be looking for him to produce an album within the next few years.

David Archuleta's career longevity
