In a person's lifetime they are bound to come across a person who has been: cut or stabbed or has taken an injury to the skin that has caused bleeding out to occur. Unfortunately although this happens to nearly everyone, most people do not know the adequate way to control said bleeding thereby giving the victim a better chance of survival. In this article, I will attempt to remedy this and teach you the reader how to use the techniques taught to emergency medical professionals to immediately control an hopefully stop a persons bleeding. The first principal of bleeding control you must understand is pressure. Pressure is the best friend of anyone trying to control bleeding. Think of the human body as a giant pressurized chamber (which is kind of is) and when it is cut or punctured it begins to de-pressurize and when this happens the injury must be patched so that pressure can be maintained. Most people know that when someone is bleeding that you must put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding what they don't know unfortunately is how to do this with maximum efficiency.
