Poem: Lonliness
They are Turning about in an amused fashion
Time likes to play games with me
Since I don't have anyone else, I let it
I wish it would rain at times like this
The pouring of the water matches my mood
And I have never asked for anything more
A soul mate, maybe, or something like it
Just give me a reason to go on
Even the spider on the wall has more company than I
It's sad though; the fly never saw it coming either
Life couldn't possibly hate me this much
I need a connection to life in general
Something needs to give, like now
My concept of loneliness is getting tired
The faded walls of my existence are bleeding me dry
And I grow weaker each time I inhale
I must need a new outlook on disbelieving
I am my own sad song; the ones you play when you've given up
The joke is on me I guess; it's funny how things work out
Breaking tradition of the rattling of my heart
Tapping my fingers has been overrated for awhile
Fluttering eyelashes as I start to drift to sleep
There's no reason to stay awake
