Interesting Trivia Can Be Found in the Bible

A lot of interesting trivia information can be found in the Holy Bible, the Word of God. These are just a few things I've learned from reading this Holy Book. I urge you to read the Bible for yourself and ask God to speak His truth to your heart. You won't regret it!1. Obadiah means "servant of Yahweh" or "worshipper of Yahweh".
2. God spoke to Joseph, the father of Jesus, four times through dreams.
3. The prophecy of Obadiah is the shortest book in the Old Testament having only 21 verses.
4. Manna tasted like honey wafers - Exodus 16:31
5. Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born - Genesis 5:3
6. Nineveh, Asshur and Baghdad are on the banks of the Tigris.
7. Moses' brother and sister were angry because he married a Cushite woman - Numbers 12:1
8. The word "bethlehem" comes from the Hebrew words beth meaning "house", and lehem, meaning "bread".
9. "Mary" is the Greek form of the Hebrew name "Mariam".
10. "Shaddai", meaning "Almighty", occurs 31 times alone in the book of Job.
11. The name of the prophet Ezekiel appears only twice in the Bible - Ezekiel 1:3: Ezekiel 24:24.
12. Adam, Eve and Jesus are the only people in the Bible who did not have human fathers.
13. The name of the prophet Elisha means "God is salvation."
14. The name of Jonah the prophet means "dove".
15. The name "Adam" means "mankind" and is used over 500 times in that sense in the Bible.
16. The name prefix "Bar" which occurs frequently in the Bible means "son of".
17. There are eleven earthquakes mentioned in the New Testament.
18. The roots of the broom tree were an excellent source of charcoal - Psalm 120:4.
19. Noah was the first person in the Bible to make a burnt offering - Genesis 8:20.
20. The Hebrew word for dew, "tal", means "sprinkled moisture".
21. The earliest mention of rain occurs in Genesis 2:5.
22. Jesus had four half-brothers and an unknown number of sisters - Mark 6:3
23. Traveling from Philippi to Thessalonica was a long hard trek of about 100 miles.
24. Naomi is the first person to be called a mother-in-law in the Bible - Ruth 1:14.
25. When Lot and his daughters moved out of Zoar, they lived in a cave - Genesis 19:30.
26. In the entire book of Esther, God is not mentioned once.
