Well to start off with I was not a fan of 2005's Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, while not being a completely horrible movie it did lack in quite a few areas, namely acting, CGI, and it was pretty boring to tell you the truth. I went yesterday to watch Prince Caspian and I was not only completely surprised but I found myself loving this exciting film, I am not going to compare it with anything else because it is in a league of its own.

Andrew Adamson the director of the first one returns to the directing chair with this one but it is hard to tell its the same person that did the first film because this one is leagues ahead of it both in style and direction. The CGI in this film where quite spectacular and you could see that alot more money went into this film.

I am not a big C.S. Lewis fan and to tell you the truth I've never read any of his books, I don't know if he really was that great of a writer because some of the concepts in the movie don't make that much sense, but for what the script lacks and its simple concepts it makes up for with lots of fun some very stellar performances by the young cast, and thrilling action scenes.

This review is in no way biased because to tell you the truth Prince Caspian is not my type of movie, I just went because my friend really wanted to see it so I just trudged along, my style of movie varies but I enjoy movies for a more mature audience and hardly ever watch movies under the R rating at theaters, rather waiting for the PG-13 movies to hit DVD and then I watch them. But this one was fun and I am glad I saw it in the theaters.

Oh on another note this film was much more darker than the first one, with alot of deaths and killings I was quite surprised because it has the feeling of a kids movie and has a PG rating but the entire movie there are people's throats getting slit, alot of stabbings, and the death toll is extreemly high, although of course it is not graphic all you need is a little imagination and BAM you realize that this is no little kids film.
