Big Brown and Desormeaux Win Again
The three year old colt named Big Brown won by five lengths at the Preakness today. Where did this horse come from? He easily won the Kentucky Derby by 4 and 3/4 lengths and now the Preakness by 5 lengths. That is just astounding. Macho Again came in second and poor Icabad Crane was third.
I think jockey Kent Desormeaux was holding Big Brown back until the final turn, where that horse just exploded. Trainer Rick Dutrow Jr says Big Brown just keeps getting better. On June 7th we will have another chance to see him in action.
Jockey Kent Desormeaux was hoping for a win for his son. His son is going blind at an exceptional rate and he wanted to win for him. Kent Desormeaux's wife said they are trying to show their son and let him experience everything they can while he can still see, according to Yahoo News.
