Ever get a craving for Indian food, whether it is a curry, vindaloos or something with chutney in it? It is one of the most popular cuisines around and Little India Restaurant provides Denver citizens who yearn for Indian food a place worth seeking out. Having had time to earn a stellar reputation, Little India is a must if you want to step into a restaurant which attracts both tourists and regulars who live in Denver. It has a long and well-deserved reputation, winning the award for Best Indian restaurant and Best Lunch Buffet for 9 years running in Westword and other publications.

Little India Restaurant: Atmosphere

We were a bit surprised by the combination of sleek elegance and casual appeal. Crisp linens, sharp graphic details and an inviting appearance added up to an distinctive first impression. Located in downtown Denver, don't be fooled by the simple outside of Little India. Once you step through the door, you'll quickly leave the outside world behind. Sit back and savor not only the food but the artwork, decor and very classy atmosphere.

Little India Restaurant - menu and prices

When we were there, the chef was Punjabi and the food covered the gamut of regional dishes found in India. There were specialties from areas as diverse as Madras, Bombay and other regions in India. All can be found in Little India restaurant, Denver location. If you'd like to get a look at the menu yourself as well as some photos that should entice both your taste buds and serve as a feast for the eyes, check out their website here: www.littleindiadenver.com/

If you want to start with appetizers, we suggest the Onion Rings fried in chick-pea batter, a very unique and savory flavor, enjoyed even by children. They cost $5.00. For vegetarians, there is also the Vegetable Plattter ($7.50) or the Vegetable Pakora ($6.00) The Vegetable Platter is a combination of vegetable samosa and pakora and the Vegetable Pakora is batter-fried and gently spiced cauliflower and potatoes. There is even Calamari Pakora, something we'd not experienced at other Indian restaurants but found a novel offering at India House for $8.99.

Aly- Yep, I figure people attending the convention are going to want to eat sometime, although I don't know where they'll hang out. I just know they'll be there unless things change.
