There are in all twelve Jyotirlingas temples of Lord Shiva in India. These Swayambhoo Jyotirlingas have been produced by Lord Shiva himself directly as per the Hindu Vedas. These are not man made. That is why importance of these twelve Jyotirlingas is much more than all other Lord Shiva
temples of the country. Bhimashankar temple is one of such Lord Shiva temples situated in the Mountain range of Sahyadri on its tallest peak in the State of Maharashtra.
