As transparently biased as the MSM is, it should raise flags when they ooh and ahh (24/7) over a politician, who, quite clearly, is also a Democrat with socialist views and a strong supporter of pro-abortion legislation, particularly the gruesome partial-birth abortion.

I hope that the American people are not blinded by the continual media hype, and make an opinion based on the issues instead of the smooth talking, decent looks, and over-all charm. I’ve been disappointed to hear even friends of mine mention that simply because Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. speaks well and looks good, that he would make the perfect leader, but when asked what they know about what he stands for, not one of them could give an answer. Apparently, to many, all it takes is appearance and performance, never mind actual accomplishments or experience.

But since I’ve brought up accomplishments, let me list a few measures that Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. backs.

He sponsored S.CON.RES.53: A concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress that any effort to impose photo identification requirements for voting should be rejected.

In 1999 he was the only Illinois State Senator to vote against a bill barring early release for (criminal) sex offenders.

He voted against filtering pornography on school and library computers and he voted for sex education for kindergarten children through the 5th grade.

Also, in 2001, he voted “present” on a bill to keep pornographic book and video stores and strip clubs from setting up within 1,000 feet of schools and churches.

Just as unsettling is his voting record on abortion.

Twice, Obama voted against bills prohibiting tax funding of abortions.

In February 2004, his wife, Michelle, sent out a fundraising letter, which actually stated her concern over the rise of conservatism in the Country, and that the ‘so-called’ partial-birth abortion was a legitimate medical procedure that should be protected.

Takeaways
  • His voting record shows Barack to be as far left as they come.
  • He is an enemy to unborn children.
  • He was raised Muslim but 'converted' to Christianity later in life.

Jill Stanek wrote: In 2003, Obama prevented BAIPA from even getting a fair hearing in his capacity as chairman of the Senate Health & Human Services Committee, where Democrat leadership purposefully sent the bill for Obama to kill. In all, BAIPA has been introduced and failed four times in four years in Illinois, thanks in no small part to Barack Obama.

And let's not forget about the fact that when abortion was illegal, it didn't stop woman from having them. They just used more dangerous methods and died as a result. It has been estimated that 15,000 women died each year that abortion was illegal from "back-alley abortions" and the coat-hanger approach. At what point do we put more value on the fetus's life than the woman's? Making abortion illegal doesn't end it, it just leads to more women dying.

Of course a person can be pro-choice and anti-abortion. I have three children, and had one miscarriage. I would never under any circumstances have an abortion. Does that mean I should be allowed to tell anyone else how they should feel? If this country is pro-choice, then everyone can have a choice. I am pro-choice and my choice is to not have abortions. If the country is pro-life, then there is no choice. How many more children would be tormented and killed by parents that didn't want them? How many more children would end up in foster care? How many more would be so screwed up by their parents that they will go on to commit crimes, maybe even kill others themselves? And can I even mention that the world is overpopulated anyway, we are rapidly using all of our natural resources so, quite frankly, what would we do with the 43 million children that have been aborted anyway? Why can't everyone chose for themselves? All you pro-lifer's, noone is telling you to have abortions.

She had to kill the baby as it was coming out? She had too? If she waited that long , why not just pull the head out too.

I believe that the choice is too important for someone else to make. The mother should have the ultimate ruling. And Ms. Donna Hope: "and he voted for sex education for kindergarten children through the 5th grade." Do you mind if I just correct you there? It is true that Obama supports sex education for kindergarteners. But it is not the sex education you think. The sex education bill he voted for was to teach these young students what is appropriate and inappropriate touching, so that these young, innocent children do not get molested or raped. How can anyone possibly vote against that bill? You would have to be heartless not to.

"You cannot be anti abortion and pro choice. You are either for abortion or against it." -tambria Let me set this straight. You cannot be pro-abortion. There are not people who go out and say that every pregnant woman must have an abortion. Being pro-choice means that you are giving women the right to control their bodies. They can make the choice based on how they are economically, so that they can choose not to have a child they wouldn't be able to care for. They can make the choice based on whether they have the time to take care of the baby (because taking care of a child requires a lot of time) and still receive an education, or go to work. I personally am pro-choice. But if I was pregnant, I don't think I would be able to have an abortion. It's not because I think life begins at conception, but because I see that the zygote in me could have a future. I do not tell other people whether they should or should not have abortions. I believe that the choice is too important fo

My wife would choose to die for her chid as would any parent.. People that choose to save the own life will surly fill the pain of killing there baby while seconds away from a normal life.. shame on you for thinking thuis ok.. Shame on america not making this illegal all over country.. God will judge us for this.. BTW if it was her time to die then by all account she should be dead.. and her child would have loved her for it.. also,, your description does not sounds like PBA but a medical abortion in the last tri of pregancy.. which is what row and wade set as law..Partial Birth means just that.. the baby is full term and can live a normal life.. Obama and his hoods should never have been givena chance to be president.... more so since he thinks PBA is ok,,,and secondly he thinks man with man is ok,, Heres an idea : all person that live together should get the same tax brake as gays.... whats makes them so speacial.. and futher more if Mom and son want to marry each other should they

For Zenot. You cannot be anti abortion and pro choice. You are either for abortion or against it. Most Christians are Pro Life, but not all Pro Life advocates are Christian. Yes, the deaths, 4000+, in Iraq are terrible. (My son is a soldier deployed in the Middle East) But the deaths by abortion are MUCH higher. The Guttmacher Institute, www.guttmacher.org, states that the number of LEGAL abortions in America since 1973 are 43 MILLION. America is standing on the blood of it's innocents, we will be judged.

I have practiced obstetrics in private practice since 1987. I have delivered around 3500-4000 babies and have a very complete understand of the gestational process. I found this article while trying to find out Sen Obama's record on this topic. After reading the article and some of the above comments, especially those of Zonot, I decided to enter some comments...... Despite his education, his choice of professions and his dynamic personality, his support of the most horrific medical procedure that is still legal in a few parts of this country betrays a level of personal immorality that any person of good character must find completely unacceptable. Ultimately, no single person can be intelligent enough to be the expert on the great variety of issues confronting the American presidency. So we must choose adequately bright individuals that possess the moral integrity that will lead them to choose the right advisers and then do the right thing. This is why so many can use this topic as

You're wrong Fred. Like most pro-aborts you are using the hard cases to make your point. The hard cases compromise less than 1% of all abortions, and are used to justify ALL abortions. In a partial-birth abortion the baby is mostly delivered, just leaving the head in the canal. The doctor, and I use that term loosely, then stabs that child in the head, sucking out the contents and delivering the rest of the baby. This is not done to save the life of a mother...it is done to destroy the infant. If the baby is delivered anyway, why not just deliver the child alive? Partial-birth abortion is barbaric, torturous and beneath humanity. But it is something that Barack Obama aggressively supports and defends - to the point of infanticide.

You don't know what you're talking about. My friend had to have a "partial birth" abortion to save her life. She didn't want to have one, but it was a last resort to save her life. But are you saying you'd let your wife die during childbirth if there was such a major complication that the ONLY way to save her life was partial birth abortion?

Whether you are pro life or pro choice, we must not allow the practive of partial birth abortion to continue. It is the most horrible and disgusting procedure a human can perform.. There is not medical necessity to perform this procedure. I have not personally witnessed this procedure but I know several people that have. Their witness to this procedure has left an indullable image in their minds they can never get rid of. I am pro life. I believe that there should be no abortion. However, I am also a realist when it comes to this topic. I know that it is going to happen. We just need to make sure that we do not forget that we are dealing with TWO lives and not just one. Abortions after the 10th week should be illegal. No matter how you look at it, at this point in development it is defintiely a life. The bottom line, I will not vote for anyone who supports this form of abortion and anyone who has any sense of humanity or moral fiber would not support this procedure.

in reply to the zonot guy.. First of all, pro life is not a religious view. Anyone who believes in the sanctity of life would agree with me. Second of all, this is America. Just as you are able to voice your opinion about Obama and all his "glory", it should go without saying ,that that was your opinion and you were freely sharing it.. now for the part where you said you are for abortion and against it, you were just contradicting yourself.
