What is The Fourth of July without watermelon, pasta salad, and burgers? American culture takes great pride in celebrating its Independence amidst the scorching temperatures of summertime. Barbeque's, camping, beaches, lakes, shores, all have a common ground to the 4th of July celebration. This year, instead of having the same ole punch'n'pasta as last year, follow this simple menu to show off your color and spice! The great thing is that these recipes are quick and easy to follow. Enjoy!

Sailor's Shot
What a better way to celebrate America's independence than by drinking a wonderful shooter in the colors of our nation's flag!

Ingredients-
Grenadine
Creme de cacao
Blue curacao

Directions-
In a tall, but narrow shot glass layer the grenadine(bottom layer), the creme de cacao(middle layer), and the blue curacao(final layer). Serve chilled.

Watermelon Raspberry Punch
This sweet and juicy drink tops off any day out in the sun!

Ingredients:
2 cups fresh raspberries
3 sprigs of mint leaves
1 watermelon, seeded and cubed (a good sized watermelon is necessary)
1 1/2 cups non-alcoholic strawberry margarita mix
1 1/4cups club soda(something fizzy)
2 1/2 cups ice

Directions:
1. Puree raspberries and mint leaves in a blender until smooth. Strain into a serving pitcher. Puree the cubed watermelon until smooth, and strain
the juice into the serving pitcher. Stir in the margarita mix, club soda, and ice.
