Rainy Sunday
Now don't get me wrong, I like my new life. Having full responsibility for all the choices I make from here on is an exciting prospect. I just haven't found a groove yet. I've been meeting lots of new people, though I haven't found any lifers yet, friends or otherwise, but I'm working on it. I must say it's nice to get some attention for a change...I haven't gotten any for a long, long time and I my self-esteem had ebbed. With my newfound singledom, my confidence is growing stronger and stronger everyday. Anyway, enough with the sappy life/love bs.
Last Tuesday, my Aunt Vi turned 100 years old. We had a party for her last Sunday and I uploaded a couple of pictures on my web page. Take a look at them if you'd like. I figure I'd start showing more and more of who I am...what makes me, me. Aunt Vi has certainly been a stalwart in my life. She moved out to Long Island about 30 years ago to take care of me and my five siblings while my mom worked. Cooking dinners, playing games, telling stories and being a part of everyday life is what she became. Now she's beyond her youthful exhuberance and is somewhat of a shell of the Aunt Vi we all know and love. But she's still healthy and amazingly still lives alone. So happy birthday Aunt Vi, and here's to another 100 years!
