Dear Lord,
When I die please take my soul;
no fancy casket, just dig a deep hole;
In my left hand my tackle box, in my right hand my pole.
Let it have braided line and a big ole' hook,
cuz in heaven, I still hope to catch a big ole' snook.
Maybe I could even have some string and a stick;
with a thigh from a chicken, it just might do the trick.
For with these treasures I just might grab,
my favorite, the sweetest, the wonderful blue crab.
If this isn't possible then maybe I could have a patch of soft sand;
covered with ocean water so I can dig with my hand.
I love to cook and I make a mean honey ham,
nut nothing compares to a fresh dug clam.
OH!! And dear Lord, I almost forgot!
Please let me harvest some oysters.
Yes.....I know........They taste just like snot.

A Fisherman's Prayer
It's not a snook, but it's a pretty big redfish!
