I've always loved Yves Saint Laurent perfumes, especially Opium, a strong, sexy fragrance. Ads for Yves Saint Laurent perfumes usually show a strong, confident image of woman in a dark suit, wearing red lipstick with her hair slicked back (an intriguing blend of the masculine and the feminine.)When I saw an ad for the new fragrance Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume, I was eager to try it. I sampled the fragrance at my local Macys department store, purchased a bottle, and started wearing the fragrance. However, I found that after wearing Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume all day, there were some unpleasant notes to the fragrance I hadn't noticed when I first sprayed it on my skin at the store.
Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume Didn't Live Up to My Expectations
Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume is a complex blend of floral and woody notes. When I first sampled the fragrance, I noticed the florals right away, like peony. This smelled very feminine to me, and I enjoyed the floral notes.
But over time, other notes in Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume began to emerge that I didn't enjoy, such as patchouli. After wearing the perfume for a few hours, I began to notice a strong odor reminiscent of pine. The unfortunate woody and musky notes like patchouli in Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume completely overtook any pleasing floral scent, and I couldn't wait for this fragrance to wear off my skin.
I found this fragrance to be a complete letdown. After Yves Saint Laurent's winners like Opium, I was expecting Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume to be a fantastic fragrance. But I wouldn't wear Elle Yves Saint Laurent Perfume for day or evening.
