To be honest, I have never been much of a fan of country music.

The one exception is the late Johnny Cash. For some reason, I have always liked his music, identified with it. You know that it's a Cash song, from the moment you hear that freight train rhythm and that booming, distinctive baritone. He was a glaring contrast to so many of these contemporary musical artists, with their "formula" look and sound.

Johnny Cash sang what was inside of him and you could hear it in each of his songs. He didn't dress in black to set a fashion trend or for purposes of publicity, but to make a social statement about his support of the downtrodden in life.

He was a complicated fellow, for sure, but that just adds to his appeal.

For fans and collectors who share a passion for Johnny Cash and his music, here are some items you may want to add to your memorabilia collection.

Store: AllPosters.com

Johnny Cash Show Posters and Art Prints

The vintage Johnny cash posters and art prints sold on AllPosters.com run anywhere from about $8.99 to $59.99. It cost extra to have them professionally framed, but, if you are a serious collector, you'll be glad to pay the additional price, because of the quality look it adds..

The posters and prints they offer capture the very essence of "The Man in Black."

Johnny Cash: The Biography

Michael Streissguth's candid biography on country artist Johnny Cash reveals the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of his life. It's pretty obvious that he is an admirer of Johnny's music, yet he delivers on providing a very frank look at this music legend.

Cost: $17.94

The Man Comes Around: The Spiritual Journey of Johnny Cash

Dave Urbanski touches on the aspect of Cash's life that the "Walk the Line" film only vaguely eluded to, which was the importance of his Christian faith.
