The Real Truth About Psychic Hotlines as Told by Someone on the Inside

Psychics, fortune tellers, gypsies, tarot readers ... call them what you will but we all know what they do. You see the ads on television and in the backs of magazines, but you always ask yourself is it for real? We all know they charge you whether you are sitting face to face or you call them; so is it worth the money? Being a tarot reader myself who has worked for several companies, I have to tell you that the answer is yes....and no. Obviously my opinion is slightly bias to the subject but as someone who has been on both sides of psychic readings,I have figured out the inner workings.

Let me start by saying that with something like reading the future their will always be people who just do not believe no matter what.(And thats fine.) If you call one of these lines lets assume you are at least somewhat of a believer. Now lets get down to the facts.These are businesses above anything else. Their goal is to make money. Though they want repeat business, it will not hurt them if a few people never call again. The most important thing to them is that you are billed for every minute. So keep that in mind.

Now on to one of the lesser known details of psychic sites. Most of these lines (keep in mind I said most not all!!!) have virtually no screening process at all. They do not test their psychics in any way. Some of the people working for these sites do have a legitimate gift but there are others who just signed up and wrote a nice profile. These people are the ones who are good at what is known in the business as "fishing". In other words, they will try to "fish" information out of you. They are not reading the cards or your future, they are just going based off your answers and your tone of voice. If you are being peppered with questions then you are not talking to a true psychic.
