This guide will explain how you can easily make numerous modifications to customize your Motorola Razr v3 experience:

Supplies:
USB connecting cable (can be purchased on eBay or any local electronics store)
Motorola Razr
Computer

First off, you will need to realize that the Motorola Razr v3 has a great potential. The slim phone has a lot of power hidden inside and it is up to you to realize how to unlock it. This guide will attempt to show you the basics, but if you want to learn more, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Adding a Custom Ringtone
We will start with adding custom ringtones, which can be the latest popular songs that everyone is humming or a prank police siren to scare your friends when they are doing something illegal. To do so, you will need to first create the file on your computer. There are many ways of creating this ringtone file.

For example, you can use a program called MP3Cutter, which basically lets you take a mp3 file of a song and cut it up, hence the name. You can cut out the 30 second chorus or main part of the song and save it as an mp3 file. OR you can download a ringtone file from various places on the internet ranging from P2P and websites.

After you have the ringtone file, you will need to take your USB cable and connect your phone to the computer. I suppose there are times when you might need drivers to install the Motorola Razr correctly. To successfully get these drivers, I would suggest that you make an account on ModMyMoto.com and sign up. By doing so, you will get much more access to tutorials on how to modify and even UNLOCK your phone. Anyway, the site will also have the necessary drivers.

Once you have connected your phone, you will need to open up the program, P2k Tools. You simply need to upload the mp3 file that you have made into the music folder on your phone. After you do that, just hit the restart button and you will be able to enjoy your own custom ringtone, instead of the annoying and pitiful ringtones that the phones are manufactured with.

Did You Know?
The Motorola Razr v3 can hold up to over 10 megabytes of information.
