The Guardian is Much More Than Just Your Classic Action Film
This is a response to “Costner’s Guardian Just a Remake with a New Title,” published October 11, 2006.
The Guardian, directed by Andrew Davis, is certainly not your typical been there done that military action film. While the plot certainly centers around a military mentor and his protégé and teaches about the necessity of teamwork in saving lives, it also puts an astonishing slant on the theme of humility and arrogance like no film before. When viewed from this perspective, it becomes clear that the film is full of intense emotions and astonishing themes that will leave you shaking.
