The Jyotirlingam Temple of Lord Shiva at Dhrshmeshwar in the State of Maharashtra, India

One of the twelve Jyotirlingams Swayambhoo Lord Shiva temples is Dhrushmeshwar, situated near the city of Aurangabad in the State of Maharashtra in India. This is one of the prime spot of pilgrimage for the Hindus having strong faith in Lord Shiva. This temple is built before around 3500 years and has history of these many years behind it.

Dhrushmeshwar temple is well connected by road, air and the railway line. Aurangabad is the nearest airport. There are regular flights from Mumbai for Aurangabad every day. The further journey can be taken up in a hired car or taxi or by State Transport buses. While traveling by train, you need to change train at Manmad station and catch the train for Aurangabad. There are some medium classes of hotels and dharmshalas available in Aurangabad for the pilgrims to stay over night. These hotels and dharmshalas do not provide any luxuries but are made to provide only the basic facilities like simple boarding and lodging. The rates are also very nominal in the range of around Rs.40 ($1) per day excluding the meals. Though, some good hotels also have been started here at Aurangabad recently that provides reasonably good facilities of lodging and boarding.
