One of the quirkier St. Paul restaurants and neighborhood burger and beer hot spots, Sweeney's Saloon is located in a century old building on 96 North Dale Street in St. Paul, Minnesota 55102. Those local to the Twin Cities have taken the Sweeney's Saloon slogan of having a "flippin' fabulous time" to heart and the crowds pack on in daily for lunch, dinner, and anything thereafter from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM.

Living up to its barfly paradise reputation, Sweeney's Saloon has a well defined happy hour schedule. Held daily from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, those getting out of work will enjoy $1 off drinks and $3 baskets of fries. Night owls have the option of enjoying a second happy hour from 9:00 PM until close and pitchers of beer are discounted a whopping $5! Play your cards right, and you can capitalize on two happy hours in one evening.

While other St. Paul restaurants seek to eek out a loyal clientele with gimmicky specials, Sweeney's Saloon decided that on Sundays and Mondays, to sweeten the beginning of the workweek, bottles of wine are sold at half price. With a tongue in cheek reference to the very specials Sweeney's Saloon is trying to eschew, this quirky eatery has developed the poor man special which is offered daily from opening until 3:00 PM and features a lunch for $5.95.

One of the St. Paul restaurants to offer traditional pub fare with a twist, at Sweeney's Saloon finger foods rule; there are nachos, sausage stuffed mushrooms, flamingo wings, bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos, and even fried pickles. If it tastes good with beer, the odds are it is on the Sweeney's Saloon menu. The other staple that has diners coming back time and again are the burgers which are topped with any condiment known to man--all you have to do is ask. Vegetarians are treated to a veggie burger and when combined with the fries, you cannot help but love this place!
