Southern Lights

One of the most amazing things to do with your family or friends during the holiday in Lexington, Kentucky is to visit Southern Lights. This annual light extravaganza takes place at the Kentucky Horse Park. With thousands of lights filling the park, you will not be disappointed. You pay per car and slowly drive through a few miles of wonderful lit up arrangements. You can see horseracing scenes in lights, fairytale story scenes in lights, and more. The event is so mesmerizing that your children will not be able to contain their excitement.

The best part is that while Southern Lights is plenty enough to thrill even the most overindulged child, adults are shocked and delighted by it as well. So, you don't have to dread take your family each year. In fact, you will start looking forward to the event! After you finish driving through the park of lights, you can park and come on into the Thoroughbred Museum and craft show. You can pick up a hot apple cider drink, visit with Santa, and even purchase crafts from local artists. Visiting Southern Lights is truly one of the best things to do in Lexington, Kentucky during the holidays.
