Did your child just bring home a pet beta or gold fish? Did your child ask for something to put his new pet fish in, but you're not sure what to give your child to put their new pet fish into?

Well here is a simple solution to this dilemma; do you have a large empty vase hanging around your home? If you do, take the vase and clean it out really well with some warm water and a paper towel, and then use the large vase as a unique shaped fish bowl, since beta and gold fish do not need a lot of space to live in.

To decorate the inside of the large vase for the fish to live in, you will need small fish pebbles, or colored rocks, and live water plants to place inside the fishes new home. You can find these fish pebbles and colored rocks, as well as live water plants at any pet store that carries fish, such as; Petco and Smart Pets. You can even find fish items at Wal-Mart for a really low price. However, do not get too many decorations for the new vase fish bowl because you do not want your fish to feel over crowded in its new home.

When you finally get all the items you need to decorate the inside of the large vase that will soon be used for your child's new pet fish, you will want to make sure your vase is completely clean out and free of any dirt and dust that might be in it. After you know the vase is cleaned out, you can then take your bag of colored rocks or pebbles and pour them into the large vase until the bottom of the vase is completely covered in rocks or pebbles.
