The Fourth of July is the greatest holiday. You must agree that the Fourth of July is hassle free. There is no gifts to buy, no cookies to bake, no cards to buy and mail, no decorations. I see the Fourth of July as a great holiday to kick up my heels and enjoy the celebration. Yes, we have a party, but we just keep everything simple and easy.

The food we cook is finger foods and dips. The grab and go type of food. Easy to prepare and even easier to clean up. My family have two favorite recipes that I would like to share with you. Both are liked by all ages and takes little preparation.

The first is a dip, "Taco Dip". This recipe requires tortilla chips for dipping.

2 - 8 Ounce cream cheese
1 - 8 Ounce taco sauce
2 Green peppers
2 Tomatoes
1 - 8 to 12 Ounce cheddar cheese

Mix taco sauce and cream cheese together and layer the bottom of a 8 x 10 container with mixture. Next, dice tomatoes and peppers and layer. Add the cheddar cheese on top of peppers and tomatoes. Chill and Serve.

The Next Recipe is "Piglets in The Blanket" (a great finger food).

1 - 8 Ounce can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
24 Fully cooked cocktail wieners
Ketchup, mustard or another type of dipping sauce

Pre-heat oven 375 degree F. Grease cookie sheet. Unroll dough, separate into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller ones. Place 1 wiener on shortest side of each triangle; roll up to opposite point. Place point down on greased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degree F. for 11 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet serve with ketchup, mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.

Clean up after you making both of these easy, quick recipes for your Fourth of July party rather work free. Both recipes take only minutes to prepare and kids of all ages just love the taste of each. There is one warning I should prepare you for, one batch of each just may not be enough for your holiday party celebration. Keep the recipes and make them for any of your family celebrations or parties.
