City of London Festival in England 2008 Guide

Festivals in England run year round, with different types of festivals to see and enjoy. The voices of Indie Filmmakers run its film festival this year (2008), from October 1 through October 12 with continuous workshops through November 2008. If you love classical music, the most popular festival to listen to classical music is at the Hampton Court Palace. This festival is held annually with a setting of an era when monarchs lived in the Palace. The 2008 Hampton Court Palace Festival will be held Friday June 7, Saturday June 14 and 21, champagne and canapes with elegance will be served before the performances and dinner will be served during the mid-performance interval. The Hampton Court Festival setting brings you back into the 17th Century Gardens with world leading performances such as, Rufus Wainwright, jazz performer Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth along with American jazz artist Curtis Stigers. Listeners from all territories will have honors to hear these talented artist including legendary British rock band the Kinks and British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Classical Star winner, Sophie Cashell. Van Morrison along with Katherine Jenkins, Jools Holland, Buena Vista Social Club, Michael Ball and Nicola Benedetti will be performing.
