Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis, Minnesota: Restaurant Review

Perfect Food in a Fun Atmosphere - Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis is One of My Favorite Places in the US for Breakfast

Hell's Kitchen, Minneapolis, is like no other restaurant in Minneapolis. First of all, it's in a really beautifully renovated old building downtown and has, seriously, one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Plus, the atmosphere is fun, the wait staff wears pajamas, and the Ralph

Steadman art is a nice touch. But the food, the food, it's too die for!

I've eaten lunch there several times but breakfast is, I think, the best meal at Hell's Kitchen. Their menu is large, and everything I've ever ordered from it has been amazing. The last time I ate there I had the Lemon-Ricotta Hotcakes. The portion is huge, so you could actually share these, but the taste is out of this world, and they do literally 'melt-in-your-mouth.' On the menu, they recommend you try your first few bites without the maple syrup but, for me, the maple syrup completed the taste and really made them the perfect pancakes. My friend had the Mahnomin Porridge, which is raved about in reviews all over the internet, and I definitely see why. I snuck a couple of bites and couldn't believe the taste. It's made from rice, not porridge oats, and is sweetened with cream and maple syrup and crammed full of blueberries, cranberries and hazelnuts. For me, because it is so rich, a cup would be plenty but my friend ate the whole bowl and said he could have eaten more.

For breakfast, they also serve things like Eggs Benedict, Bison Benedict (which did look fabulous although I haven't tried it yet), Steak and Eggs, Pancakes, Breakfast Sandwiches, Shrimp and Crab Cake, Breadpudding, Yoghurt and tons of other stuff. Their coffee is good, although not as good as the rest of their offerings, and the service is friendly. I have eaten there a couple of times where the food was lukewarm and we had to send it back to be reheated, but it does get incredibly busy with a huge wait, so it's not surprising really.

Jeje, I haven't had the guts to visit that place yet. Minneapolis in general, actually. My father-in-law will enjoy this though :D

Oh, I'm passing this on to my Mpls family right now!!! I'll put a large chunk of change on the line that they've never even heard of this place, much less eaten there!

I've heard of Hell's Kitchen I believe it was on the cooking channel though I wouldn't swear to it since I'm not the type to watch cooking shows. Great review.

And the midwesterners are generally very nice people--added benefit.
