Guide to Celebrating the Holidays in Jacksonville City

There is that certain time of year, when the mornings start to frost, and a cup of hot cocoa is not too far off. The leaves on the trees start to turn their beautiful browns and those warm sunny days start to turn into a must have a sweater days. This is the starting of Autumn. A time for Trick or Treating, later followed by Thanksgiving and then finishing the year off with everyone's favorite, Christmas. Through these Holidays we start realizing that family time is important, but what do we do with our families? In the city of Jacksonville, North Carolina there are many events that are fun for the whole family. 

October is the first month that starts its excitment with city wide events. If you and your special someone wants to do something a little romantic, and something that is quite relaxing, you can go visit a fun event called, Halloween in The Old West. Here you will be bundled up next to eachother and enjoying a pleasant hay ride. This beautiful scenery ride cover thirty acres of the old mid west, right here in the city of Jacksonville. You both will look over the old farms, and with a tour guide to tell you about the historic land site you will expierience a time that will put you in the midst of the old times. 

You will see the old structures that once were used. With a cup of hot cocoa and your special someone beside you this is the perfect opportunity to make the most out of a romantic night. After the beautiful land ride, there will be a bon fire. Here you and that special someone can cuddle next to the fire and roast marshmellows like good ol' times. This event takes place every year on October twenty eigth.
